The polycarbonate sheet is made of polycarbonate and is a high-quality sheet made of co-extrusion technology CO-EXTRUSION. The co-extruded high-concentration UV coating on the surface of the polycarbonate plate can effectively block the damage of the ultraviolet plate and prolong the service life of the polycarbonate plate.
Abrasion resistance: The polycarbonate sheet treated with UV-resistant coating can be improved in wear resistance several times and is similar to glass. Thermoforming can be cold-bent into a certain curvature without cracking and can be cut or drilled. Anti-theft, anti-shooting PC can be pressed into a safety window with glass for hospitals, schools, libraries, banks, embassies and prisons, where glass can improve the hardness and wear resistance of the board. PCs can also be pressed with other PC layers or acrylates for traditional safety applications.
UV protection: It can prevent super strong ultraviolet rays, and only some single-layer board surface turns yellow or smashed under long-term sunlight. Also suitable as a low temperature resistant material. Polycarbonate sheets have excellent thermal insulation properties. Under the same thickness conditions, polycarbonate sheets have a thermal insulation performance of about 16% higher than that of glass, which can effectively block heat transfer. Whether it's warm in winter or hot air in the summer, polycarbonate sheets can effectively reduce building energy consumption and save energy.
Anti-combustion performance: Polycarbonate sheet has good flame retardancy. It does not produce toxic gas when burned. Its smoke concentration is lower than that of wood and paper. It is determined to be a first-grade flame retardant material and meets environmental protection standards. After 30s of burning samples, the burning length does not exceed 25mm, and the flammable gas is decomposed when the hot air is as high as 467 °C. Therefore, after relevant measurements, it is considered that its fire performance is qualified.
Anti-chemical substances: no reaction to acid, alcohol, juice, beverages; gasoline, kerosene also has a certain resistance, no cracks or loss of light transmission within 48h of contact. However, it is poor in chemical resistance to certain chemicals such as amines, esters, halogenated hydrocarbons, and paint thinners.
Light weight: Polycarbonate has a density of about 1.29/cm3, which is half lighter than glass. For example, it is made into a hollow polycarbonate sheet, and its mass is 1/3 of plexiglass, which is about 1/15 to 1/12 of glass. The hollow polycarbonate sheet has excellent stiffness and can be used as a skeleton member. The lightweight of the polycarbonate sheet makes the construction safer and more convenient, which can greatly save shipping and construction time and cost.
